“The Spot” as it is known to all who visit, is a CAMRA National Pub of the Year, is recommended by Alistair Sawday and features in the Good Pub Guide amongst many other publications. It is a traditional pub in every sense, whether you fancy a Sunday Roast by the cosy open fires after a winter walk or a cool glass of wine whilst reading your book in the pretty secluded garden. In the same family ownership for over 20 years, it won’t be long before the welcoming staff and friendly locals will make you feel like it is your “local” too! We look forward to seeing you…..
Here at the “Spot” we have a passion for Real Ale and Real Pubs & Inns. The traditional art of beer making: Brewers, Hop Growers, Farmers, Maltsters, Coopers, Draymen and Publicans who all put effort, time and passion into creating beers full of character and flavour and which are as individual as everyone that will enjoy them.
We take care with every pint we serve to ensure that it is in great condition and it is always an honour to receive recognitionfor our part in the ongoing enjoyment of our national drink!
